British Youth and Religion

British Youth and Religion

We are too busy for religion sometimes - it either because we are in pursuit of a career dream, or in pursuit of satisfying the demand of our career (even in simple things like looking for the best hr recruitment software ). But the more developed Britain becomes, the more it loses its identity and it is simply because the nation is going away from what contains its most profound cultural values - religion. It has been in the heart of the kingdom as an institution, it has been in the every day life of the British since they became Christians but somehow it is not being passed to the new generations.

The more young people I happen to encounter on the streets, the more I tend to believe that there is something that they are missing - and this is certainly not the Luis Vuitton bag and the Prada purse. They are missing the inspiration that religion gives and exactly because of that I see empty churches on Sunday morning - because on Saturday everyone has been partying until the early hours. But then what is happening with these young people - how are they going to appreciate the family values, the good in life and how are they about to distinguish about evil and bad. Religion is not only about believing in God - its main concept is to deliver an understanding on what is right and what is not.
This is why I am afraid - the less people I see in churches, the more I believe that along with the religion, the implications of goodness in the British culture are slowly diminishing.
